After we lost our little Jack Russell last year in a very unfortunate accident, our whole family was heartbroken. Our daughter especially missed her and hoped one day to have a sibling of our lovely puppy, Baobao. So we reached out to Nicki at Stonequarry again.

From the very beginning, Nicki was incredibly kind, patient, and understanding of our situation. She stayed in touch with us throughout the journey, and when the mother dog became pregnant, she kept us updated every step of the way. We were so blessed to receive the only puppy from the litter — a beautiful little girl we named Biscuit.

Nicki made the entire process smooth, thoughtful, and genuinely heartfelt. She provided comprehensive guidance and practical information about raising and caring for our new puppy, which made everything much easier and less stressful for us.

Our family has had Jack Russells for over 30 years. We adore the breed with their devotion, energy, and intelligence. We lost our last JRT in June of ’25 and really missed the companionship these little dogs bring. As a previous registered breeder, we knew what type of JRT we wanted. So, starting our search, we sought our registered breeders who were breeding the type of JRT’s we wanted and had a reputation for quality Jack Russells. We identified several breeders but, in the end, settled on Stonequarry Jack Russell Terrier Stud, their bloodlines and reputation were what we were looking for. We understood from the beginning that we would be on a wait list for our puppy, but all good things come to those who wait they say and gave us time to “prepare” for our new addition.

When we received the offer of a puppy, we were naturally elated. Nicki sent us some photos of the one available and we then waited for her to be eight weeks old so we could pick her up. We were fortunate to be able to visit and meet Milly when she was six weeks old. Nicki did keep us updated while we waited and also sent some progress photos.

When we picked Milly up, Nicki gave us a folder which had an extensive list of information and advice of all aspects of our new puppy, which was greatly appreciated and a good reference for us.

Milly has now been with us for a couple of weeks, she is absolutely adorable and we are so happy that we chose a Stonequarry pup.

Visiting Australia I had heard about Stonequarry Jack Russell Terriers. I went only to have a look but left with all papers in my pocket. The farm, the dogs and Nicki were so impressive and Millie irresistible. The entire process of importing Millie to Hong Kong was made so easy as Nicki handled all from medical and export papers to the shipping itself. Millie is now one year old and I can not stress enough what a healthy and balanced dog we received from Stonequarry. To my delight she has turned out to be a water baby and we swim together every day.

5 weeks ago we had the pleasure of picking up our little bundle of joy Remi!

The whole experience from when we decided it was time to have a puppy join our family, to the day we picked her up, Nicki was absolutely amazing and so accomodating!

We received our sweet boy Ted from Stonequarry JRTs September 2021.  We had been on Nicki’s waiting list for about 18months (it was well worth the wait). Nicki helped me to surprise my partner Bob with Ted’s arrival on the day of his birthday which was amazing!

I can’t fault my dealings with Nicki, from the moment we went onto the wait list we were kept up to date via her newsletters and anytime I ever had any questions she was generous with advice and abundance of knowledge.  Then when our litter arrived I received regular phone pics of our pup which really made it so exciting in the last few weeks of waiting.  Since Ted came home Nicki has continued to provide support and advice as we’ve needed it.

As for Ted himself, he is such a sweet pup.  He has a lovely nature and our vet (once a breeder of JRTs) is so impressed with him.  Everywhere we go, people ask where we got little Ted from and comment on him.  He has brought so much joy to us – we can’t thank Nicki at Stonequarry enough.

Being a dog family with other breeds, we purchased our first JRT from Nicki as we knew she came highly regarded. We were not expecting how happy we would be! Everything she said our Stella would be as a JRT she is, and so much more!

Her dogs are top quality, the kennels and conditions for her dogs immaculate, and the care of her puppies is second to none. Everything that could be done to help prepare her pups transition to their new home is covered and she was hugely supportive and knowledgeable to answer all of our questions. We could not recommend her and her dogs highly enough, and would not buy another JRT from anywhere else.

Recently we received the most delightful, little female pup from Nicki.  We named her Lucy. She is a superb, physically healthy specimen with an amazing personality, indicative of this fine breeding program. Already she demonstrates wonderful loving, endearing qualities and is so confident – fearless and adventurous. She simply adores meeting and greeting both humans and dogs. She joyfully rushes up to both, tail wagging madly with excitement, and captivates them with her joyfulness, loving nature and positive energy. People and dogs are delighted and automatically reciprocate. Their day is lifted.

We have two older Jackies, Lexi (17) and Sam (9). Lexi understandably just wants to be comfortable and left in peace, but Sam adores Lucy and plays with her endlessly, matching her energy … almost. He’s become her best friend, teacher and protector. He’s also found his inner puppy again.

We were impressed by the way Nicki demonstrates a sincere love, affection, and care for her pups. This may well be the element that encourages, develops the loving qualities her dogs display. Furthermore, her breeders are treated with great care regarding their health and well-being. We were also very impressed with the way she insists her females have satisfactory breaks between breeding seasons. Stonequarry don’t pump pups out like a dog factory but approach the breeding in an ethical manner with care and consideration, which is most pleasing and gratifying to see.

Communication is very professional too. During the inevitable waiting process for Lucy, we found Nicki easy to contact. Any text or email query would get an immediate response. She was very upfront with the wait time for Lucy and kept us updated regularly with progress reports.

Again, we were incredibly impressed with the design and set up of the facilities. Nicki and her husband have created a delightful environment for the Stonequarry Jackies. Their beautiful property of some acres set on rolling paddocks and bushland has allowed them to be able to create an ideally large, secure, grassed exploration area and common play space for the dogs and pups. As well, each dog or group of newborns with mother has a superb large modern individual kennel and large grassed individual run. The planning demonstrates great thought and care to ensure the best possible space for the dogs to enjoy and express themselves.

The main building is beautifully crafted incorporating recycled elements using the footprint of an old barn with beautiful hardwood timbers claimed from the original structure, which add a rustic charm and authenticity to the new building’s appearance.

When I first contacted Nicky about three years ago she was very helpful, friendly and informative. Her love for Jack Russells and knowledge of the breed was very evident when speaking to her. I finally met Nicky in May 2020 when I picked up my first Main Register bitch Stonequarry Cupcake ‘Maggie’. It was an absolute pleasure to meet Nicky and all her Jack Russell Terriers. The Stonequarry Jack Russell Terrier Stud was excellent and well set up. Nicky was very well-organised having all the paperwork ready for us as well as a Royal Canin puppy pack with blanket and soft toy. Our new pup had been bathed that morning and ready to go to her new home. I have since become a registered JRT breeder with Dogs NSW with prefix/stud name ‘Coorabin’. My boy Tobyjack Bobby McGee was sire to one of Nicky’s litters and I kept little Benji out of this litter. I also purchased a new bitch pup off Nicky to add to my stud. Benji and Ariarne are now 9 months old and great fun. I have also seen Nicky’s new set up for her dogs which is just fabulous. I highly recommend Stonequarry Jack Russell Terrier Stud and look forward to also breeding smooth coat JRT’s with good temperaments.
